Mainland China#
Setting up Minecraft Server#
- DeviCloud: www.devicloud.cn. It is highly stable with a large user base. It is recommended to purchase a VPS. If funds are insufficient, consider panel servers.
Overseas#
Hmm, there isn't much to recommend overseas, as it is generally used for websites or FRP.
I use Tencent Cloud Hong Kong lightweight server. It's difficult to get at our price now, so the recommendation level has decreased.
Domain Names#
For domain names, international brands are the first choice (because you don't need to provide real names). Of course, if you are like me, a poor person, just buy them honestly in China.
In China, I recommend Tencent Cloud, and internationally, I recommend NameSilo. I least recommend Godaddy, I've been ripped off before.
Secondly, consider Dynadot, which has a strong price advantage.
I recommend buying com, net, cc, top, ink. Avoid buying cn and Chinese domain names to avoid exposing personal information.
If you really want to buy a cn domain name, I suggest buying it from Alibaba Cloud. They often have coupons, which is quite good.
If you're not sure which registrar offers the cheapest price for the domain name you want, you can search on NameBeta or Nahzumi, compare prices, and then place your order.
DNS Resolution#
If you need to build some special websites (such as card-selling websites), it is recommended to use CloudFlare for domain management, to prevent attacks and regulatory issues.
If you are like me, running your own website and mainly targeting Chinese users, you can use DNSPod for faster speeds. Of course, using Alibaba Cloud is also possible, but it's not as convenient on mobile.
